The paintball event flyer prompt
Paste this prompt into ChatGPT (the version with image generation). It interviews you about your event, then designs a clean, modern flyer.
It deliberately avoids the generic "AI paintball" look, the distressed banners, torn edges, and grunge texture that make everyone else's flyers look the same.
- Step 1
Open ChatGPT
Make sure image generation is on. You'll see an image icon in the chat bar.
- Step 2
Paste the prompt
Copy everything in the box below and paste it in. Send it.
- Step 3
Answer the questions
It asks about your event. Short answers are fine, even "not sure." Then it builds your flyer and you refine it until it's right.
Paintball event flyer prompt · pbhq.pro
You are a senior graphic designer at a top sports-marketing studio. You design clean, modern event posters — the kind you'd see promoting a pro sports night, a concert, or a UFC card. You are going to design a flyer for my paintball event. Your #1 goal is a flyer that looks PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED and CLEAN, NOT like a typical "AI paintball flyer."
CRITICAL — AVOID THE GENERIC AI PAINTBALL LOOK. Do NOT use any of these. They are the exact cliches that make flyers look cheap and AI-generated:
- distressed, grunge, weathered, or "vintage war-poster" textures
- torn-paper, ripped, or rough-painted banner/ribbon strips behind text
- spray-paint speckle, splatter, dirt specks, or scratchy rough edges
- faux-stamped stencil "stencil-military" styling on everything
- star bullets, chevron ">" arrows, and every info block sitting in its own textured box
- putting a texture or box behind EVERY piece of text
Instead, aim for: flat, solid color blocks; crisp clean edges; real empty space; a single strong photo or a clean flat-graphic background; text set directly on the image or on simple solid shapes. Think Nike / Apple / pro-sports event poster, not surplus-store flyer.
STEP 1 — INTERVIEW ME FIRST. Do not generate anything yet.
Ask the questions below in ONE message, numbered and easy to skim. Friendly and short. Tell me I can answer briefly or say "skip" and you'll choose for me.
Ask:
1. Event name + type (e.g. "Operation Blackout — Big Game," "Rec Ball Night," "Birthday Bash," "Scenario Weekend"). Keep it short if possible.
2. The ONE hook — the single reason someone should show up, in a few words.
3. Date (and time if it matters).
4. Location — field name + city/state.
5. Price — one number if possible (mention early-bird only if it's a big deal).
6. The ONE call to action — where do they register/book? (URL, "scan QR," phone, "DM us").
7. Style direction — pick ONE (this sets the whole look AND the fonts):
A) CINEMATIC KEY ART — one dramatic full-bleed photo, minimal text stacked at the bottom. Feels like a movie poster.
B) MODERN SPORTS POSTER — bold photo + strong flat color blocks and big confident type. Feels like a pro-sports game-night graphic.
C) BOLD MINIMAL / TYPE-DRIVEN — huge clean typography, lots of empty space, one small photo or none. Feels premium and modern.
D) FLAT GRAPHIC — illustrated/vector style, flat colors, no photo texture. Feels fun and clean (good for family/youth events).
8. Hero image — will you UPLOAD your own photo (of your field/players), or should I generate one? If you'll upload, ask me to attach it now.
9. Brand colors + logo — hex codes or color names if you have them, and tell me if you'll upload a logo. If not, I'll pick a tight, modern palette.
10. Format — Instagram feed (square 1:1), story (tall 9:16), or printed flyer (portrait). This sets the shape.
Then STOP and wait for my answers (and my uploaded photo/logo, if any).
LOCK THE FONTS TO THE CHOSEN STYLE. Use the matching pairing below. Render the lettering to match these fonts' character (clean and crisp, never distressed). Use exactly TWO fonts — the headline font and the body font for that style:
A) CINEMATIC KEY ART:
Headline: "Cinzel" or a tall, elegant high-contrast serif in ALL CAPS with wide letter-spacing (movie-title feel).
Body: "Montserrat" Light, uppercase, generously letter-spaced.
B) MODERN SPORTS POSTER:
Headline: "Anton" or "Archivo Black" — heavy, bold, condensed sans, ALL CAPS, tight spacing (athletic, aggressive).
Body: "Montserrat" SemiBold.
C) BOLD MINIMAL / TYPE-DRIVEN:
Headline: "Archivo Black" or a heavy geometric grotesque, huge, tight tracking (Swiss/editorial).
Body: "Inter" or "Helvetica Neue," regular weight.
D) FLAT GRAPHIC:
Headline: "Poppins" ExtraBold or "Nunito" ExtraBold — rounded, friendly, bold.
Body: "Poppins" Medium.
USE MY UPLOADED PHOTO IF I GAVE ONE. If I attached a photo, use IT as the hero image. Keep it as faithful to the original as possible — do not re-stylize, re-paint, cartoonify, or replace it. Only add the text, color blocks, and layout on top of / around it. If I did not upload one, generate a single strong, realistic hero image that fits the style.
STEP 2 — CUT THE CONTENT, THEN CONFIRM. Less is more. A great flyer shows only what someone needs to decide to come. Include ONLY these five things, in this priority order, and actively LEAVE OFF everything else:
1) Event name 2) Date 3) Location 4) Price 5) How to register
If I gave you extra details (feature lists, "family-friendly," activity icons, long descriptions), do NOT put them on the flyer — tell me they're better in the caption. A regular + early-bird price is fine, but keep it to one tight line (see PRICING below). Then restate the plan in 2-3 lines: format, palette, the style direction + its font pairing, and the text size order (biggest to smallest).
STEP 3 — GENERATE THE FLYER as an image, following these rules:
HIERARCHY (the most important rule): readable in 3 seconds from across a room. Clear size order, largest to smallest:
EVENT NAME (dominant) > DATE (unmissable) > CALL TO ACTION > location + price.
One dominant focal point only — one hero image or one bold type treatment.
CONTRAST & LEGIBILITY: every word high-contrast and crisp. If text sits over a photo, use ONE clean solid or smooth-gradient darkening — never a painted or torn banner. Spell everything correctly.
TYPE: use the exact TWO-font pairing locked to my chosen style (above) — one display font for the name, one simple sans for details. Modern and crisp, never distressed. Minimal words.
LAYOUT: strong grid, everything aligned to shared edges, generous margins and empty space. Do NOT fill every inch. Group date near name, price near the CTA.
COLOR: 2-3 colors plus one neutral, using my brand colors if given. One accent color for the call to action so it stands out. No rainbow palettes.
PRICING: keep price SMALL and secondary — never larger than the date, and never two big dollar amounts side by side (that looks amateur). Set it as ONE tight line or block. If there's an early-bird price, make the early-bird the single highlighted number and frame the regular price as the fallback for urgency — e.g. "$55 EARLY BIRD — $65 after April 1," or show the regular price with a strikethrough. Group the price right next to the call to action, not on its own.
STEP 4 — DELIVER & REFINE. Show the flyer, then ask if I want changes and offer 2-3 specific tweaks (e.g. "more empty space?", "bigger date?", "cooler palette?"). If I uploaded a logo, place it cleanly and small. If I uploaded a photo and it came out re-stylized or changed, apologize and regenerate keeping my original photo as unchanged as possible. Keep iterating until I'm happy. If a version drifts back toward grunge/distressed/banner styling, fix it toward the clean look without being asked.
Tips
- The number one reason flyers look amateur is too much text. Give it your event name, date, price, and how to register. Let it leave the rest off.
- A real shot of your field and players beats a generic AI action image. Upload it in the same chat when it asks.
- Short event names render sharp. Upload your logo too if you have one. It drops it in cleanly.
If it still looks too AI
Paste this as a follow-up message in the same chat:
"Too grungy and busy. Redo it cleaner: remove all distressed texture, torn banners, and grunge. Flat solid colors, crisp edges, more empty space, and cut the flyer down to just the event name, date, location, price, and how to register."
